- Sour Cream
- Mayonnaise
- Chipotle Peppers in Sauce
- Lime Juice
- Garlic Cloves
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Smoked Paprika

Preparation and Storage
Mix – in a small food processor or blender (may also use an immersion blender) add all of the sauce ingredients and blend until smooth and well combined.
Storage – leftover sauce stored in an airtight container like a mason jar will last in the fridge for up to 1 week. Sauce stored in the fridge will take on a thicker consistency.

Chipotle Crema Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 to 4 chipotle peppers, adjust to taste
- 2 tablespoons chipotle pepper sauce
- 1 to 2 garlic cloves
- Juice 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, adjust to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse black pepper, adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon honey, optional
Instructions
- In a small food processor or blender (may also use an immersion blender) add the sour cream, mayonnaise, chipotle peppers, chipotle sauce, garlic, lime juice, honey (optional), paprika, salt and black pepper)
- Blend all ingredients together until a smooth sauce forms. Sauce is ready to be used immediately.
- To store, transfer sauce into an airtight container like a mason jar and keep refrigerated. Sauce stored in the fridge will remain fresh up to 1 week but will take on a thicker consistency. If a more thinner consistency is preferred, mix in a few splashes of water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
