These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers are a quick and easy meal option that is absolutely delicious and requires minimal ingredients. Consisting of juicy pieces of chicken breast that is cooked in the air fryer until richly golden brown and coated in buttery garlic parmesan sauce, these skewers are a 10 out 10! To make this recipe, you will need the key ingredients shared below.
Key Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts
- Mayonnaise or Yogurt (Full Fat)
- Olive Oil
- Garlic
- Unsalted Butter
- Parmesan Cheese
- Fresh Parsley
- Seasonings (Salt, Black Pepper, Paprika, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder)
(See recipe card below for the ingredients measurements.)
Preparation
- Marinade Chicken – add the chicken, mayonnaise, olive oil, and seasonings into a large mixing bowl. Mix ingredients together to combine. Cover bowl and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or overnight. Prior to cooking the chicken, remove from the fridge and bring to room temperature for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
- Prepare Skewers – individually, thread the chicken pieces onto pre-soaked skewers. Preheat air fryer to 400F. In batches, air fry the chicken skewers for 6 to 7 minutes, carefully turn the skewers and air fry the flipped side of the skewers for 6 to 7 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked through. If you have a kitchen thermometer, the internal temperature of the chicken should register 165F.
- Make Sauce – in a small saucepan under medium heat, melt the butter and add in the minced garlic. Cook the garlic just until it starts to soften and become aromatic, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and mix in the Parmesan cheese, freshly parsley and seasoning.
- Serve – coated the skewers in the garlic parmesan sauce and serve as is or with your favorite side dish or dipping sauce. My favorite dipping sauces for these skewers are my Homemade Ranch Dressing Recipe & Easy Garlic Aioli Recipe

- 6 to 8 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, adjust to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Into a large mixing bowl, add the chicken, mayonnaise, olive oil, and seasonings (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper). Thoroughly, mix ingredients together to combine. Cover bowl and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or overnight. Prior to cooking the chicken, remove from the fridge and bring to room temperature for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
- Individually, thread the marinaded chicken pieces onto the pre-soaked skewers, about 6 to 7 pieces per skewer. Make sure the pieces are nice and compact. Preheat air fryer to 400F and spray some cooking oil into the air fryer basket. In batches, air fry the chicken skewers for 6 to 7 minutes, carefully turn the skewers and air fry for an additional 6 to 7 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove the pan from the heat. Let the garlic butter cool slightly about 2 to 3 minutes and mix in the parmesan cheese, fresh parsley and salt and black pepper.
- Generously coat the skewers in the garlic parmesan sauce and serve as is or with your favorite side dish or dipping sauce. Enjoy!
