This recipe for Creamy Avocado Lime Sauce is keeper! This sauce is packed with the savory, creamy and tangy flavors of avocados, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice and garlic. The combination of these flavors makes for an irresistibly tasty sauce and goes well with many dishes! To make this recipe, you will need the key ingredients shared below.
Key Ingredients
- Avocados
- Sour Cream (may replace with Greek yogurt)
- Fresh Cilantro
- Fresh Lime Juice
- Garlic Cloves
- Salt

Preparation and Storage
- Into the cup of an immersion blender or food processor, add the avocados, sour cream, cilantro, garlic cloves, lime juice and salt. Blend ingredients together until smooth. For a thinner sauce consistency, mix in some water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Serve sauce with your favorite dish!
- To store, transfer sauce into an airtight container and keep refrigerated. Creamy Avocado Lime Sauce stored properly in the fridge will remain fresh up to 3 to 4 days.

- 2 large avocados, peeled and pitted
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
- 2 to 4 garlic cloves, adjust to taste
- 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt, adjust to taste
- filtered water, as needed
