Cilantro Yogurt Sauce Recipe
This easy Cilantro Yogurt Sauce Recipe is not only incredibly delicious but also very versatile pairing well with a variety of dishes!
- 2 packed cups fresh cilantro leaves, may substitute with fresh parsley
- 1 cup thick Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 3 to 4 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, plus more as needed
- 2 tablespoons neutral flavored oil
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- salt to taste
In a blender or food processor, add all of the ingredients and blend on high speed into a smooth sauce. Scrap down the sides of the blender or food processor and re-blend as needed to ensure that all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated into the sauce. If a thinner sauce is preferred, mix in some more lime juice or water 1 tablespoon at a time to thin out to desired consistency.
Serve sauce immediately as a dip or addition to dish of choice. Enjoy!
- To store leftover sauce, transfer into an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to one week.
- Refrigerated sauce will thicken up. If a thinner sauce is preferred, mix in some lime juice or water 1 tablespoon at a time to thin out to desired consistency.
